Oct.6-8: This year's Ani-magic 00' (a fairly new convention in Lancaster, CA) was very cozy and accepting of all sorts. My first time attending this convention, I went Saturday only and the got the best out of the day. I bumped into friends from AX and was introduced, in person, to new friends I'd met through email for the first time. The dance kicked the best butt ever! Yep. It roared all night till beyond late and everyone was getting involved. Didn't spot a wallflower the whole night...maybe because I was too busy throwing myself around the floor with some fellow breakers and berserkers. I went as Ryoko (after having resprayed the hair and ironed out the impossible-to-iron costume) alone. Yes, this was a semi-long distance mini-adventure for me. The masquerade took us back to days when conventions would give out an award for anything. It was great! I didn't get to be in the masquerade as I arrived too late, but here is what I did get!
